IN FLUX

Prospect Art Broadcast

November 5 – December 13, 2026

Curated by Julianna Heller

About the Program

What develops when artists inhabit the space between established strategies and emerging technologies?

Artistic practice increasingly operates between states—analog and digital, handmade and algorithmic, physical and virtual. IN FLUX, a series of artist-driven online discussions, screenings, studio visits, and live performance, explores approaches to navigating a layered reality shaped by traditional forms and evolving technologies.

Drawing on Donna Haraway's ideas of hybridity and the crossing of boundaries, the series considers artists who neither reject digital advancement nor embrace a technological utopia. Instead, their practices focus on the process of translation across forms, attending to what is lost in the shift and what new possibilities emerge.

Through sculpture, video, performance, and image-making, six artists interrogate boundaries, explore transitions, and embody hybrid forms across mediums, identities, and systems of knowledge.

November 5, 2026 | Panel Conversation

Carla Fisher Schwartz and Anja Ulfeldt

Moderated by Julianna Heller and Chance Cutrano

Artists Carla Fisher Schwartz and Anja Ulfeldt discuss how natural landscapes are translated between physical environments and digital spaces. Grounded in the Bay Area's ecological context, the conversation considers how technologies such as mapping and 3D scanning intersect with lived environmental conditions, impacts, and responsibilities.

November 12, 2026 | Screening and Conversation

Omolola Ajao and Zahra Babaei

Moderated by Julianna Heller

Examining tensions between identity and representation, body and surface, and lived experience and performance, this conversation brings together Omolola Ajao and Zahra Babaei. Through video, performance, and image-making, the artists consider how bodies are translated into images and mediated through screens, revealing what is altered, obscured, or amplified in the process.

Offcut — Origin

December 7–11, 2026 | Five-Day Livestream Performance & Discussion

Germán Benincore
